Small Talk U is devoted to proactive language and literacy development for children from birth to five years of age. The Small Talk U collaborative approach uses techniques based on research outcomes from a variety of disciplines and can be incorporated both inside and outside of the classroom. Small Talk U’s goal is to provide techniques to parents and classroom educators to increase the quantity of language exposure as well as the quality of language exposure provided to children. Small Talk U strives to accomplish this goal using existing materials and resources in the home or school. Whether providing input regarding specific students in a classroom or providing a seminar for teachers, Small Talk U works collaboratively to build upon existing literacy programs and curriculum.

Also Small Talk U is a certified provider of It Takes Two to Talk: The Hanen® Program; Program for Parents of Children with Language Delays. The Hanen® Program is specifically designed for parent groups and is evidence based. This program is ideal for serving caseloads of children with language delays in the school setting.
